As Treasurer and Director of The Christian Action, Gerard K. Baka serves as a steward of the organization’s financial integrity and a strategic leader supporting its mission to serve vulnerable communities through Christ-centered compassion. This role combines fiduciary responsibility with governance oversight to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainable impact.
Responsibilities as Treasurer

Oversee all financial operations of the organization, ensuring responsible management of funds in accordance with nonprofit laws and ethical standards.

Maintain accurate financial records, including budgets, income, expenses, and donations.

Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Board of Directors.

Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and financial controls to safeguard organizational assets.

Assist in the development of the annual budget and ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and programs.

Ensure compliance with federal and state nonprofit regulations, including financial filings and audits when required.

Work collaboratively with leadership to support fundraising initiatives, grants, and donor accountability.

Participate actively in Board of Directors meetings and strategic planning sessions.
